Pinkeye Causes Sterility

Madeleine: "Mommy, why do you keep a pair of panties in your car?"


Me: "Well, that's for emergencies about that thing we talked about."


Madeleine: "Oh." To her sister: "That's when you have a baby inside of you and it dies and blood comes out. Except that Mommy didn't have a baby inside of her, right Mommy?"


Me: "That's right. Daddy was sick when he was a little boy and his baby making parts were broken."


Madeleine: "Oh, yes. I can't have a baby now I guess. I had pinkeye last week."


Me: "No, I'm pretty sure that you can still have a baby."


Madeleine: "GROSS! I don't think I want to."
